Diabetes, hypoglycemia, polycystic ovary syndrome, most obesity and dozens of other degenerative conditions may be linked back to a condition called hyperinsulinemia, or excess insulin production. Diabetes as an example, is epidemic in all industrialized nations and could exceed both heart disease and cancer as the leading cause of death by the year 2020. Type II or adult-onset diabetes, for the most part, is a condition of excess insulin not insulin deficiency. Here at The Institute, we are probably more successful in preventing, managing and even reversing type II diabetes and other conditions of excess insulin, than almost any other area of nutrition.
